Marriage Couples Counselor EFT Dallas

Mary Potenti, LMFT, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, TX #202390 CASDCS, ATR , CA #44928)

It can be exhausting to find which counselor can really help you deal with the hurt of a relationship falling apart, or the anxiety, sadness, and possible trauma that life has thrown at you.

You deserve to enjoy life again, and I can guide you to address those negative thoughts, those anxious beliefs, and to process the trauma that keeps you from moving forward.   So that you can become your authentic self, and live life with tools and reactions that better fit your situation. I can help, using EFT (emotionally focused therapy), RLT (Relational Life Therapy) EMDR , ART or ETT ( trauma therapies, including emotional transformative therapy), and with significant training in CBT and DBT.

My name is Mary Potenti, the owner and head therapist at Neurodiverse Relationship Counseling Inc. And I became a therapist because in my first career in business I experienced so many different situations & people who didn’t know how to prioritize their relationships or self care. So I saw a need for better relational and emotional health, communication and connection, plus overall healing in relationships…and I became a therapist. And I’ve enjoyed over 15 years of helping neurodiverse and “typical” couples, as well as adult individuals.

It’s Difficult to Find Relationship Counseling or Support for Trauma, Anxiety, Sadness or Social Anxiety —Or Parenting Support including for Special Needs

You wonder who can help with relationship repair/marriage counseling when there’s been an affair or even addiction. But I love working with couples, supporting individuals, and using my training plus 2006 certification in Alcohol and Other Drugs. Together we can tackle, and reduce, the anxiety or depression symptoms that you know are getting worse. Maybe the uncertainty of counseling, or the depths of your past traumas, along with the thought of telling your problems to a stranger make you think that it may be “too hard, too much, or too late.” But scientifically proven trauma therapies such as EMDR, ART or ETT have research proving their effectiveness. My other specialties include Relationship Repair, and Neurodiverse (autism or ADHD) or Typical Couple Counseling, plus tools for Anxiety or Depression, and even Counseling for New Parents — or Blended Family Counseling— and Support for Parents with a Special Needs Child. With a free 15 minute consultation, we can focus on what are your needs, make a plan to address the priorities and ensure that my work is a good fit for your needs.
